Important Announcement: Home Depot

As you may have seen in the news, there was a card data breach at Home Depot, possibly starting as early as April 2014.

At this point, it has not been determined if any cardholder data was in fact compromised. While we do not yet know the extent of the data breach, we are monitoring this situation closely, and will alert you as pertinent new information arises.

In this case, we believe the best defense is a good offense. So, as a precaution, if you have shopped at Home Depot since April, we ask that you monitor your account and transactions carefully over the next few weeks. Should you notice any unusual activity, please call the bank immediately.

We also suggest that you enable text alerts so that you receive immediate notice each time your debit card is used. It’s as easy as calling your branch to activate. We believe these alerts can help you notice fraud early and prevent unauthorized use of your card. If you would prefer to preemptively receive a new debit card, feel free to stop into or call the bank and speak with a personal banker.

As you may have seen in the news, there was a possible card data breach at various grocers, including Jewel-Osco in our market area, possibly starting as early as June 22nd and ending as late as July 17th.

At this point, it has not been determined if any cardholder data was in fact compromised. While we do not yet know the extent of the data breach, we are monitoring this situation closely, and will alert you as pertinent new information arises.

So, as a precaution, if you have shopped at Jewel-Osco or one of the other stores mentioned in the news reports during the dates mentioned above, we ask that you monitor your account and transactions carefully over the next few weeks.
